RE-OPENING THE HALL APRIL 12 2021
following April 12th, the re-opening date for community centers according to the latest government road map, indoor social contact will be restricted to household members, excepting all children’s activities, including indoor parent & child groups (up to 15 parents) which are permitted, until May 17th , when indoor mixing between households will be permitted with the rule of 6 applying to most indoor activities
JUNE 21st 2021
is the predicted date after which all restrictions will be lifted, assuming no unforseen changes.
As part of the roadmap published on February 22nd the government announced that from April 12th, as part of step 2, libraries and community centers will be allowed to re-open. The step 2 retrictions outline the currently permissible range of activities. Risk assessments still apply and the formal risk assessment for the hall completed during the initial lockdown in 2020 is accessible via this link.
As safe use of the hall will depend upon close collaboration between the hall administration and users, links are included to guidance relevant to village hall re-opening issued by acre ACTION WITH COMMUNITIES IN RURAL ENGLAND and to the government coronavirus website.
SUMMARY OF RESTRICTIONS
As before, our preliminary plan is that initially all booked activities, including regular users, will be scheduled to take place in the main hall with hiring fees reflecting the normal venue for that activity. This will reduce the risk of close face to face contact in the narrow back corridor until an acceptable one way system can be established. What activities are presently permissible according to the published roadmap are accessible via the “permitted activities” and “specific user groups” buttons below. Links are provided so user groups can review their own activities in the light of current and potential future recommendations, familiarise themselves with their additional responsibilities and paperwork needed to be completed when activities resume, and discuss with members of the operation group any particular concerns they might have prior to restarting their activities.

The residents of Hutton Rudby and the surrounding area enjoy a spacious and modern village hall with four large rooms suitable for all village events, clubs and private functions. It is located in the centre of the village and is immediately adjacent to a childrens playground and tennis and bowls facilities.
Built originally in 1927, it was extended and modernised by the people of the village in 2004.
The hall is well equipped and suitable for a wide range of events such as shows, weddings, conferences and adult and children’s parties.
We are a registered charity and welcome enquiries from residents and those from further afield interested in using the facilities.
The hall is administered by a committee of Trustees and is supported by the fundraising activities of The Friends of the Village Hall.
